Danish organic producers are members of the non-profit association, Organic Denmark, which has taken the lead within the European organic movement in terms of innovation, high quality standards and own control.
Organic Denmark organises numerous well-attended national events, at which Danish consumers can see organic farming at close hand on the farms, for example ‘organic days’, when the cows are sent out to graze in the spring, and harvest markets in the autumn.
Organic Denmark has more than 50 highly qualified employees involved in marketing and foreign trade, PR, lobbying, and advising on organic farming.
Organic Denmark represents more than 1000 organic farmers, 120 companies and 3500 consumers.
Denmarks joint stand is implemented by Organic Denmark Export with subsidy
from the EU and the Danish Ministry of Food's Rural Development Programme.
The event is being carried out in collaboration with Organic Denmark.
