Nykur vodka, a multi-award-winning brand of premium-grade organic vodka, earned prestigious "double gold" awards from The Spirits Business, the world's only dedicated international spirits magazine and website, at the company's DB & SB Spring Blind Tasting and Vodka Masters competitions in 2021.

Each competition featured panels of top experts from across the industry. The DB & SB Spring Blind Tasting, hosted in April 2021, took place remotely from the safety of judges' London homes due to the coronavirus, while the Vodka Masters competition, hosted in October 2021, took place at the Ibis Hotel in London Bridge, United Kingdom. The competition allowed for a true sampling experience and offered an opportunity for leading drink buyers, bartenders, and venues to sample spirits and bottlings from around the world.

Nykur vodka quickly impressed judging panels at both competitions, and the brand was awarded "Gold" in the "Blind Tasting" category at the DB & SB Spring Blind Tasting and the "Organic Vodka" category at Vodka Masters. The prestigious honors, awarded in the most competitive categories, recognize Nykur vodka's rich, soft taste and organic formulation, which has been achieved using waters from the Faroe Islands in Denmark. Volcanic waters from the Faroe Islands have been protected and refined over 10,000 years using natural distillation, giving Nykur spirits a unique composition of minerals, golden tones, and organic spring wheat that create a rich, signature taste and softness drinkers enjoy.

"It is a great honor to receive these awards and be recognized by panels of expert tasters," remarked Mattias Longaa, CEO of Nykur. "The vodka categories at these international competitions are blossoming, and producers around the world are increasingly using skill and care to make the most of their native ingredients. We are proud to be the world's first spirit organic manufactured using volcanic waters from the Faroe Islands in Denmark," he added.

The world's only dedicated international spirits magazine and website, The Spirits Business circulates to over 50,000 spirit professionals worldwide, including senior drink buyers, influential bartenders, and venues. Nykur vodka's success at the  DB & SB Spring Blind Tasting and Vodka Masters competitions are just the latest achievements for the brand on the international stage. In 2021, Nykur vodka also won "Gold" at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition and "Organic Vodka of the Year" at the Asia International Spirit Competition.

"Nykur vodka has a unique Faroese taste that has positioned the brand as one of the market's finest organic spirits," added Mattias Longaa. "Our rich, soft taste has been admired by judges at international competitions like The Spirits Business's 2021 Vodka Masters. We look forward to more success in the new year," he added.
