Our DAVA organic mayonnaise is produced with quality ingredients: organic rapeseed oil and egg yolks from eggs laid by organic hens. Our mayonnaise contains 10% egg yolks and no preservatives.
What is mayonnaise?
Mayonnaise is an emulsified, cold sauce of egg yolk, oil, and acid, e.g. vinegar. Mayonnaise is originally from France but is today known and eaten worldwide.
How to use mayonnaise
Mayonnaise can be served for a variety of dishes. In Danish cuisine, mayonnaise is often used as topping on ‘smørrebrød’, e.g. rye bread topped with boiled eggs, shrimps, and mayonnaise.
Mayonnaise is suitable for making dressings for composed salads such as potato salad and egg salad. Mayonnaise is also frequently used as base for other sauces such as remoulade and sauce tartare.
Finally, mayonnaise is also suited as a spread for sandwiches and burgers and can be served as a dip for French fries.
