Patented fermented red clover extract, with added calcium, magnesium and vitamin D3
REGOBONE contains fermented red clover extract, standardised to 60 mg dosage of isoflavones per 100 ml, now with added calcium (lactate gluconate), magnesium (citrate) and vitamin D3 (from algae).
REGOBONE is specifically intended for women 50 years and older. The reduction in bone mineral density loss is achieved only with a daily intake of at least 1200 mg of calcium and 20 μg of Vitamin D from all sources.
Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones. Red clover also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D contributes towards the normal absorption of calcium. Calcium and vitamin D help to reduce the loss of bone mineral in post-menopausal women. Low bone mineral density is a risk factor in relation to bone fractures resulting from osteoporosis.
Fermentation increases uptake
Red clover contains active plant oestrogens called isoflavones. The isoflavones in red clover are naturally bound to sugar molecules (glycone form). These sugar molecules are broken down during the lactic acid fermentation and take glycone form. This increases the uptake of the active plant extracts.
